David de Gea refusing to sign £350,000 per week contract

Not too happy with the terms offered
Manchester United are fearful that they are going to get priced out of extending their no. 1's contract as he refuses to sign a £350,000 contract that they've tabled, according to Evening Standard.
The report claims that David de Gea wants wages closer to £400,000 a week, which is what Alexis Sanchez reportedly earns at Manchester United. De Gea has 16 months left in his current contract. However, United are desperate to tie him to a contract as his importance at the club is difficult to understate.
United will need to break the club's wage structure if they are to meet the Spaniard's demands. But with Sanchez, a poor performer since joining in January 2018, earns as much as £400,000, you can't argue with the logic that the club's best player over the past half a decade should get wage parity.
