Harry Kane opens up on Tottenham’s Champions League chances ahead of Dortmund

Dortmund vs Tottenham

Tottenham are set to travel to Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday for the second leg of their Champions League tie.
Tottenham smashed Dortmund 3-0 in the first leg at Wembley thanks to goals from Heung-Min Son, Jan Vertonghen and Fernando Llorente.
Heading into the return leg, neither outfit is in very good form.
Dortmund have won just one of their last five league outings, drawing three and losing one.

As for Spurs, they are winless in three Premier League games, drawing one and losing two.

Harry Kane on Spurs UCL chances

Due to Spurs’ recent poor league form, they are all but out of the 2018/19 title race.
They also failed to win the League Cup, going out in the semi-finals vs Chelsea.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side would then be knocked out of the FA Cup by Crystal Palace.
So, realistically,  the Champions League is Spurs only remaining chance of silverware this season.
Tottenham’s star forward Harry Kane has been speaking about their UCL chances before Tuesday’s tie:
“Of course we can win the Champions League, anything’s possible.
“I wouldn’t say we’re one of the favourites to go and win it but we’ve shown in certain games, like this year and last year against Real Madrid and Barcelona, that we can beat the big teams.
“The thing for us now is, kind of like this [last] week, when the pressure’s on and we need to step up, we need to find a way to get it done. We haven’t done that in recent years, we haven’t done that this week, and that’s going to be the difference.”As quoted by the Evening Standard.
