Inter Line-Up Juventus Coach Allegri As Spalletti’s Replacement

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri is in pole position to replace Luciano Spalletti as Inter head coach next season, according to Corriere della Sera.

Allegri is expected to leave the Bianconeri in the summer after five seasons in charge, having completed four league and cup doubles and reached two Champions League finals.

Spalletti, meanwhile, is thought to be on his way out at Inter regardless of where the Nerazzurri finish in Serie A this season.

The former Roma boss could see his job come under threat before the end of the campaign if Inter continue to lose ground in the race for Champions League qualification.

The club’s idea, however, is to back Spalletti until May and then find a replacement for 2019-20.

Mauro Icardi is also expected to move on in the summer as the Argentine’s war of nerves with Inter continues.

Icardi has not shown any intention of rebuilding his bridges with the rest of Inter’s squad but cannot be forced to play if he continues to feel pain in his knee.
